Arizona Historical Foundation Oral History Collection, 1968-1998.

This collection contains a wide variety of interviewees, including Arizona pioneers, civil rights advocates and other prominent citizens. The quality of the recordings in the collection range from high quality to inaudible. Several tapes and reels have notes indicating the condition of the tapes and the presence of background noise. This collection in organized alphabetically by interviewee. It is arranged with an eye towards future additions. This is an active collection, comprised of a wide variety of interviews that are not necessarily related.

Sandra Day O’Connor was born in El Paso, Texas, March 26, 1930. She married John Jay O’Connor III in 1952 and has three sons - Scott, Brian, and Jay. He moved with his widowed mother to Phoenix in 1919 and began work with the Arizona Republic in 1926, handling all their photography and art work.
